A company which manufactures versatile work space solutions and office furniture are looking for an experience Wood Machining CNC Operator to join their team at their site in Chorley

As the UK’s leader in providing work space solutions, the company is looking for someone to play a crucial part in their production process, working on their busy shop floor on the hard furniture workload.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all elements of the production process from cutting, edging, packaging and quality. The role will also require you to organise the work load of the supporting assembly team. There will also be a need to manage stock control including edging and fixings.

This role is a full time, permanent position.


Candidates must have previous CNC operating experience, ideally using set machines within a furniture production environment.

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Have previous experience in a fast paced production setting
  • Be confident in all aspects of wood machining, including cutting and edging
  • Have extensive experience of setting tool paths for a CNC machine as well as selecting, changing and setting up tooling
  • Be experienced in the use of Magicut & Woodwop Software

Ideally Candidates will also have:

  • Operated Homag machines – Venture in particular
  • Operated BHX and edge banding machines
