To Provide Engineering support to all areas of the business to continually improve methods and processes, while increasing quality, repeatability and reducing costs and health and safety risks. The main focus it to study, design, build and improve process engineering within the business.
|Co-ordinate time and resources to satisfy the continuous improvement demands of all departments with technical, design and production support.
To solve problems.
|To be innovative and creative and realise the objectives of the designer by producing parts and prototypes by whatever means necessary.|
|To be innovative and creative to develop new production techniques and methods to accurately produce new products and designs in line with the prototypes and design intent.|
|To design and set up meaningful and purposeful tests and test rigs within ethical and health and safety legislation and requirements. To interpret, evaluate and act upon the results and data.|
|With the use of Lean principles, tools and techniques; design, build and validate processes for the introduction of new product, cost reduction or continuous improvement projects.|
|To eliminate or reduce as much as possible all health and safety risks to users and operators.|
|To design and manufacture quality, accurate and repeatable jigs, fixtures, test equipment and special purpose machines. Also, aid the maintenance department with repair to on-site equipment and machinery.|
|Operation of Lathes, Grinding Machines, Milling Machines, Central Lathes, and other relevant machinery, including CAD/CAM as the business demands. Use 3D software to produce accurate models and drawings.|
|To support the assembly department by producing programmes for the laser marking machine, train operators and assist the maintenance department with fault and repair finding.|
Time served Mechanical Engineer. Basic introduction to lean toolbox Mechatronics or Production Engineering Qualification. Minimum of 5 years experience in a Precision Engineering Environment. Currently practicing engineering machining
