The 15 week programme  (half a day per week) helps first line managers to improve management and lean Team Leader Presentermanufacturing skills – ready to get more from their shop floor team and add value to their business. Participants will boost their confidence and ability to lead people, while finding out how to put new process improvement techniques into action.

This is a down to earth programme for first line managers who are eager to get more out of their people and shop floor processes. You won’t need any academic qualifications to join the programme, which is run twice a year in Manchester and at other locations around the North West.

Overview

Features

  • Days 1-9 cover people management skills, including communication, presentation, employment law and health and safety
  • Days 10-15 cover the essentials of process improvement - from lean manufacturing and quality, to 5S and using IT to measure performance
  • Opportunity to pursue NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques
  • Runs half a day per week for 15 weeks
