Fab Lab

Manchester is home to the UK’s first Fab Lab, a fully-kitted fabrication workshop offering the capability to turn ideas and concepts for new products into prototypes.

Developed by the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, over 3,000 small manufacturers, inventors, schools and community groups have used the Fab Lab since it opened in March 2010.
