WHAT WE DO
Over the last 20 years the Manufacturing Institute has educated over 50,000 manufacturers, worked in over 9,000 manufacturing companies across the world, achieved over £1 billion of quality, cost and delivery impacts, worked with 60,000 children through Make IT and introduced Fab Labs in to the UK.
Our story is about hard work, innovation, nurturing talent, sharing experiences and not being afraid to take that first step into the unknown.
We are very proud to share it with you.

The UK’s first Fab Lab opened in Manchester in March 2010 and since then over 3,000 small manufacturers, inventors, schools and community groups have enjoyed using it.
